Busy Baby Boxes — If you have a baby or toddler who’s in need of new toys, check out Busy Baby Boxes to find ADORABLE interactive toy patterns. The highlight of this book is the super cute little finger puppets you can make for your little one. Besides the finger puppets, there are patterns for crocheting box-shaped interactive toys that offer your little one bunches of different pockets. These pockets are handy for holding the finger puppets for either storage or creative play.
One of the boxes features a barnyard / farm animal theme, The finger puppets that go along with this set are farm animals.
The other box features a fairy garden theme. Both sets are totally adorable.
This is one of my favorite toy pattern books. I enjoyed success with crocheting some of the finger puppets for my daughter. If you enjoy crocheting toys, definitely check this book out.
This lovely book is a compilation of bunches of popular designs by Norwegian knitting pattern designers, Arne and Carlos. The book includes a variety of playful, fun patterns for knitting fun dolls, doll clothes and toys. There’s a colorful teddy bear pattern, a whole bunch of delightful bird patterns, a cute stuffed mouse pattern, and more.
The book also includes holiday patterns, home decor patterns, accessory patterns and much more.
Most of the patterns in this book are knitting patterns. There are also a couple of spectacular crochet blanket patterns, one of which is a granny square pattern where the focal point of the design is colorful butterflies. This is such a unique and lovely pattern.
I rate this book as a definite keeper. Get more details in my book review of Arne and Carlos Favorite Designs.
Amigurumi is a Japanese word that refers to cute stuffed dolls or toys that are knitted or crocheted (in this case, crocheted). In this book, you’ll learn to make tiny thread crochet amigurumi toys including some that are fanciful and made up (think dragons and cyclops) and some that are cutely realistic (think toucans, giraffes and butterflies).
If your child has older style Barbie dolls in her collection, perhaps you’ll want to crochet this cute fashion doll top for them. This top fits the Barbies that were made from 1966-1997 using the 1966 body mold.
